I love how you described the sensuality of vessel possession, and I love Castiel's thought process when he is sedating Jimmy's consciousness and then giving Claire the brushoff. (I'm guessing that's probably a scene from canon, but either way, ouch.) Despite not knowing the fandom super well, the whole thing was really well done.
