SEASON 15!!

When I started watching SPN after season 7 and fell in love with it, I thought "oh, what a shame that I'm coming in probably so close to the end of its run." Turns out I arrived less than HALFWAY THROUGH! I can't believe it. I'm so impressed with how good it's remained. It's not perfect and never has been, but even during my least favorite seasons/episodes, I always find things to enjoy. And my favorite seasons/episodes are just fucking delightful. I'm so happy we get at least one more season.

Exactly this! I came in at the end of season 1, and I agree--it's not perfect, never has been, but it shines, and when it's on point, it's so very, very, *very* good. It's kept me enthralled for 14 years, and I'm excited to get another season!

I WISH I had been watching for so long! But I'm so happy I found it when I did. And yes, you put it perfectly when you say it shines (I love that!), and is capable of some really phenomenal stuff when it's firing on all cylinders. And I have a long, complicated series of thoughts about how its imperfection makes it more fun to be a fan of. I'll have to write those up as a post sometime.

Yes, exactly this! I've been here since season 1, and I never would have thought that I'd still be here watching the show and still enjoying it. Yes, there are highs and low, but I'm here until the end (and probably long after that, too!)

SAME :D I know fandoms inevitably decline to a certain degree once new canon content isn't being produced, but I have a lot of hope that the SPN fandom will be a long-lasting one even once the show's over. With how long it's run and how close-knit the fandom is, I think it has a good chance for real longevity.

I came in the middle of season 4 I thought 2 was perfect for me lol but I am Still loyal even now lol even when seasons upset me so much they do have some bright spots and I am not judged for my shipping loves I am such a Dean girl and this Fandom has been great. So I am so blessed to have it and something that brings me so much joy.

Season 2 is so good!! My favorite/near-perfect-for-me season is 4. :D And I agree, the fandom just great. Everyone I've met seems so inclusive and non-judgemental. It's wonderful.

I started watching in the hiatus between Season 7 and 8 too :) I was so excited about show I had to find a place to squee - first was Supernatural_TV, where I got to know someone who was on LJ :D I never knew about fandom until then or about digital art, but I had been using photoshop for work so it wasn't too big of a jump. What an eye opener it was! My life basically changed LOL
